The event will raise money for:
- The Duxbury Police Athletic League (PAL)
Started by Chief Mark Deluca, PAL instructs young people in boxing and weightlifting, and provides them with other after school activities. - Southeastern Massachusetts Special Olympics
The Massachusetts Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of well-coached Olympic-type sports for individuals with mental retardation, or closely-related developmental disabilities, by providing them with continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, prepare for entry into school and community programs, express courage, experience joy, and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic Athletes, and the community. Special Olympics contributes to the physical, social, and psychological development of people with mental challenges. Through successful experiences in sports, athletes gain confidence and build positive self-images, which go with them into their homes, classrooms, jobs, and communities.
The event is also designed to be a forum to bring the community together and create an opportunity to raise funds for two important charities. This is a great opportunity to get some friends together, get in shape and raise money while having a great time.
The Kingsbury Club & Spa, a multisport training complex, located on Rt. 3A near the Kingston-Duxbury town line, is the official training center for the triathlon.

The event is estimated to draw over 600 regular triathlon participants including a Pro/Elite division, and many participants from police departments from the East Coast and Canada, that will compete in the special "INLET" or International Law Enforcement Triathlon division. All participants will receive a race day commemorative T-shirt and sponsor goodie bag.
Anyone interested in being a corporate sponsor for this great community event should contact Brian Noyes at (781) 706-1166.
