About the Duxbury Beach Triathlon

The Duxbury Beach Triathlon is a 1/2 mile swim in Duxbury Bay, 13 miles bike and 3.1 mile run. The event will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Duxbury Beach.

This course will be one of the safest and most scenic triathlons you will do all year. Police detail officers and volunteers will positioned at all key points; motorcycle and Mt. Bike officers will be patrolling the course.

The event will raise money for:

The event is also designed to be a forum to bring the community together and create an opportunity to raise funds for two important charities. This is a great opportunity to get some friends together, get in shape and raise money while having a great time.

The Kingsbury Club & Spa, a multisport training complex, located on Rt. 3A near the Kingston-Duxbury town line, is the official training center for the triathlon.

The event is estimated to draw over 750 regular triathlon participants including a Pro/Elite division, and many participants from police departments from the East Coast and Canada, that will compete in the special "INLET" or International Law Enforcement Triathlon division. All participants will receive a race day commemorative T-shirt and sponsor goodie bag.

Anyone interested in being a corporate sponsor for this great community event should contact Brian Noyes at (781) 706-1166.
