Duxbury D.A.R.E. Program The event will benefit D.A.R.E., a collabrative effort between police departments, schools, parents, and community leaders. D.A.R.E. teaches kids how to recognize and resist the direct and subtle pressures that influence them to experiment with alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, and other drugs. D.A.R.E. works because it surrounds children with support and encouragement from all sides.
Special Olympics Massachusetts The event will benefit The Massachusetts Special Olympics, which provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of well-coached Olympic-type sports for individuals with mental retardation, or closely-related developmental disabilities, by providing them with continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, prepare for entry into school and community programs, express courage, experience joy, and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic Athletes, and the community. Special Olympics contributes to the physical, social, and psychological development of people with mental challenges. Through successful experiences in sports, athletes gain confidence and build positive self-images, which go with them into their homes, classrooms, jobs, and communities.
Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy’s mission is to improve the treatment, quality of life and long-term outlook for all individuals affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) through research, advocacy, education and compassion
Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation The TRF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax-exempt organization entirely dependent on public contributions. Income is derived from donations from many thousands of racing fans, owners, breeders, trainers and racing officials who believe racehorses deserve better than a painful trip to the slaughterhouse when their track careers are over.
